Customer Information

Service Delivery Policy

This policy explains how SEQUENCE PUBLISHING LTD arranges and delivers its remote music assessment and production guidance services. It covers the enquiry process, information required from customers, assessment arrangements, delivery formats and the expected completion times.

Effective immediately upon publication

01 Introduction

This Service Delivery Policy applies to the music assessment and production guidance services offered by SEQUENCE PUBLISHING LTD through its website at sequencepublishing.services.

Our services are arranged remotely and are based on reviewing music material supplied by the customer. The purpose of the assessment is to provide considered observations, practical production guidance and written recommendations relevant to the agreed brief.

This policy should be read alongside our Terms & Conditions and Cancellation & Refunds Policy. If a particular service has additional requirements, those details will be explained before the customer places the order.

02 Nature of our services

SEQUENCE PUBLISHING LTD provides remote music assessment and production guidance. Depending on the service selected and the agreed scope, an assessment may consider:

  • Overall track structure, arrangement and progression.
  • Musical development, transitions and section balance.
  • Instrument and sound selection in relation to the intended direction.
  • Relative balance between musical elements.
  • Clarity, consistency and presentation of the supplied material.
  • Areas that may benefit from further production attention.
  • Practical priorities for the customer’s next stage of work.

The precise areas covered depend on the selected service, the material supplied and the scope agreed before the order is placed. Not every assessment will include every item listed above.

Remote assessment and guidance only Our service provides observations and recommendations. It does not include carrying out recording, editing, mixing, mastering, composition, arrangement production or other hands-on audio production work.

03 Enquiry and quotation

Customers are invited to contact us before placing an order, particularly where the number of tracks, duration or assessment requirements may affect the appropriate service.

An enquiry should provide enough information for us to understand the proposed work. This may include:

  • The type of music or project being submitted.
  • The number of tracks requiring assessment.
  • The approximate duration of each track.
  • The particular aspects of the production the customer would like reviewed.
  • A suitable link or method for accessing the music material, where available.
  • Any relevant deadline or project context.

We will review the information provided and, where the requested work is within our service scope, confirm a suitable service, proposed deliverables, applicable fee and estimated delivery period.

Prices displayed on the website are indicative starting prices or ranges, as applicable to the selected service. The final fee is confirmed before the customer places the order. Any additional requirements that may affect the price will be discussed in advance.

An enquiry is not an order Submitting an enquiry, sharing a music link or receiving an initial response does not itself confirm a booking, create an obligation to pay or start the assessment.

04 Order confirmation

Once the scope and price have been agreed, the customer will be directed to the relevant service listing or order page, where applicable.

An order is treated as confirmed when the customer has completed the applicable order process and the required payment has been successfully received, subject to any confirmation stated on the order page.

Before proceeding, customers should check that the selected service, agreed scope, number of tracks, relevant requirements and contact details are correct.

We will use the contact details supplied with the order to communicate about the assessment, request any outstanding materials and provide the agreed deliverables.

Work will not be treated as having commenced merely because a customer has visited a service page, submitted an enquiry or discussed a possible project with us.

05 Materials and information required

Customers are responsible for providing the music files, links and supporting information reasonably required for the agreed assessment.

Music files and access

Depending on the project, we may accept suitable audio files or accessible links to the relevant music material. The required format and submission method will be confirmed where necessary. Customers should ensure that submitted files can be opened and played in a usable form.

Project information

A useful brief should explain the intended direction of the track, the areas where feedback is required and any particular questions the customer would like considered.

Customer responsibility

  • Provide material that relates to the agreed order.
  • Ensure that files and links are accessible and sufficiently clear for review.
  • Check that the supplied material is the version intended for assessment.
  • Provide any relevant context needed to understand the brief.
  • Ensure they have the necessary rights or permissions to share the material with us for assessment.

If files are incomplete, inaccessible, corrupted or materially different from the agreed submission, we may need to request replacement material before the assessment can proceed.

06 Assessment process

Each project is reviewed against its agreed scope. The assessment is intended to provide clear, relevant feedback rather than a general evaluation unrelated to the customer’s stated objectives.

01

Brief and material review

We check the submitted information and music material against the confirmed service scope. If essential information is missing, we may contact the customer before continuing.

02

Listening and assessment

The supplied material is reviewed with reference to the agreed assessment areas, which may include structure, arrangement, sound choices, balance and production direction.

03

Preparation of feedback

Observations are organised into practical comments and recommendations. Where included in the selected service, this may also identify suggested priorities for further work.

04

Delivery to the customer

The agreed written feedback and recorded audio commentary, where included, are sent using the delivery method agreed for the order.

05

Included clarification

Where the selected service includes a follow-up clarification, the customer may raise questions about the feedback within the stated clarification scope.

07 Delivery format

Deliverables depend on the service purchased and the scope confirmed before the order. They may include the following:

Written assessment

Written feedback may be supplied in a document or another commonly accessible electronic format. It may contain observations, section-specific comments, production considerations and recommendations relevant to the agreed brief.

Recorded audio feedback

Where included, recorded audio feedback provides spoken explanations of selected observations and recommendations. It is intended to complement the written assessment and does not constitute a revised or processed version of the customer’s music.

Priority recommendations

Certain services may include a prioritised list of areas for attention. This is intended to help customers understand which aspects of the supplied material may be considered first.

Electronic delivery

Deliverables are normally supplied remotely by email or through an agreed electronic file-sharing method. Customers should ensure that their email account can receive attachments or links and check relevant spam or filtered folders if an expected message cannot be located.

Physical goods, printed reports and postal deliveries are not included unless expressly agreed in writing.

08 Delivery times

The estimated delivery period will be confirmed before the order is placed. The estimate depends on the service selected, the number and duration of tracks, the assessment requirements and whether all necessary materials have been received.

Unless a different arrangement is confirmed in writing, the delivery period begins on the working day after all of the following conditions have been met:

  • The order has been confirmed and the required payment received.
  • The agreed music files or accessible links have been supplied.
  • The information necessary to carry out the assessment has been provided.
  • Any outstanding scope questions that materially affect the work have been resolved.
Working day calculation Working days mean Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays in England and Wales. The day on which the final required information is received is not counted as the first working day.

Any estimated timeframe displayed on a service page is an indication rather than a separate guarantee. The estimate applicable to an individual order is the period confirmed to the customer before the order is placed.

If the customer changes the brief, adds tracks, replaces previously supplied material or requests work outside the confirmed scope, the delivery estimate may need to be reviewed. Any revised timeframe will be communicated before the additional work is undertaken.

09 Follow-up clarification

Where a service includes one follow-up clarification, the customer may contact us after receiving the deliverables to ask reasonable questions about the comments and recommendations provided.

The clarification is intended to explain or expand on the original assessment. It does not automatically include:

  • A second full assessment of the same track.
  • Review of a substantially revised or newly produced version.
  • Assessment of additional tracks not included in the order.
  • New written reports or additional recorded commentary beyond the agreed scope.
  • Practical editing, mixing, mastering or other production work.

Any applicable submission period and response arrangement for the included clarification will be stated in the relevant service description or order confirmation. If no specific period is stated, customers should contact us within 14 calendar days after delivery so that the original assessment can be referred to accurately.

10 Additional work and changes

The agreed service covers the assessment and deliverables identified in the order confirmation. Requests that go beyond that scope are not automatically included.

Examples of additional work may include:

  • Reviewing extra tracks or longer material than originally agreed.
  • Assessing a substantially revised version after the original review.
  • Preparing a separate assessment for a different project objective.
  • Providing additional commentary or documentation not included in the selected service.

If a request requires additional work, we will explain the proposed scope, any additional fee and the expected timeframe before proceeding. No additional charge will be applied for optional work unless the customer has agreed to it.

Where an error or omission means that an agreed deliverable has not been supplied, customers should contact us so that the matter can be reviewed against the original order.

11 Service limitations

To ensure that customers understand what they are receiving, the following activities are outside the normal scope of our music assessment and production guidance services:

  • Recording instruments, vocals or other audio material.
  • Editing, arranging or altering the customer’s audio files.
  • Mixing, mastering or producing a finished audio track.
  • Composing or creating new music on the customer’s behalf.
  • Submitting music to streaming platforms or arranging distribution.
  • Negotiating recording contracts, publishing agreements or licensing arrangements.
  • Providing legal advice on copyright, ownership or music rights.
  • Guaranteeing commercial, audience or artistic outcomes.

Feedback is based on the material and information made available at the time of assessment. Recommendations are professional observations intended to support the customer’s own decisions. The customer remains responsible for deciding whether and how to apply them.

12 Delays and interruptions

We aim to deliver each service within the timeframe confirmed for the order. However, circumstances may occasionally affect the original estimate.

Potential causes include:

  • Missing, inaccessible or unsuitable music files.
  • Incomplete project information or unresolved scope questions.
  • Customer-requested changes after the assessment has been arranged.
  • Unexpected technical problems affecting access to supplied material or delivery files.
  • Events outside our reasonable control that prevent work from progressing as planned.

If we become aware of a material delay, we will contact the customer using the details provided with the order, explain the reason where reasonably possible and provide an updated delivery estimate.

Where a delay materially affects the agreed arrangement, the available options will be considered in accordance with the order terms and applicable consumer law. This policy does not remove any statutory rights the customer may have.

13 Completion of service

A service is ordinarily treated as delivered when the agreed assessment materials have been sent to the customer through the confirmed electronic delivery method.

Where the order includes a follow-up clarification, that clarification remains available in accordance with the applicable service description and order confirmation. The existence of a clarification period does not mean that the original assessment remains incomplete.

Customers should review the delivered materials and contact us if an agreed item appears to be missing, a file cannot be accessed or there is a question about the content supplied.

We will review delivery-related concerns by reference to the original order, the agreed scope and the materials sent. Nothing in this policy limits the customer’s rights under applicable UK consumer law.
