Service Delivery Policy

This policy explains how SEQUENCE PUBLISHING LTD arranges and delivers its remote music assessment and production guidance services. It describes the information required from customers, how assessments are carried out, the formats used to provide feedback and the arrangements that apply to delivery times.

Effective immediately upon publication

01 Introduction

This Service Delivery Policy applies to the remote music assessment and production guidance services offered by SEQUENCE PUBLISHING LTD through sequencepublishing.services.

Our services are based on reviewing music material supplied by customers and preparing feedback relevant to the agreed brief. Depending on the selected service, this feedback may be provided in writing, as recorded audio commentary or through a combination of both formats.

This policy explains the practical arrangements for receiving materials, carrying out an assessment and delivering the agreed feedback. It should be read together with our Terms & Conditions and Cancellation & Refunds Policy.

The service description and order confirmation identify the particular deliverables and requirements applicable to each purchase.

02 Nature of our services

SEQUENCE PUBLISHING LTD provides remote music assessment and production guidance. The work is advisory in nature and focuses on the music material supplied by the customer.

Depending on the selected service and agreed brief, an assessment may consider:

  • Track structure, musical progression and overall arrangement.
  • Development of musical sections and transitions.
  • Instrument and sound selection in relation to the intended direction.
  • Relative balance between musical elements.
  • Clarity and consistency of the supplied material.
  • Production choices and areas that may benefit from further attention.
  • Practical priorities for the customer’s next stage of work.

The precise assessment areas depend on the selected service, the number and duration of tracks and the information provided by the customer. Not every assessment includes every area listed above.

Assessment and guidance, not hands-on production Our services provide observations, explanations and recommendations. They do not include recording, editing, mixing, mastering, composing or carrying out changes to the customer’s audio files.

03 Enquiry and service selection

Customers may contact us before purchasing if they need help identifying a suitable assessment service or clarifying whether a proposed project fits the published scope.

An enquiry may include:

  • The type of music or project being submitted.
  • The number of tracks requiring assessment.
  • The approximate duration of each track.
  • The particular production areas the customer wants reviewed.
  • The intended purpose of the assessment.
  • Any relevant deadline or project context.

We may use this information to identify an appropriate service and explain the applicable scope, price and estimated delivery period.

Where a service has a published fixed price, the price and included scope will be presented on the relevant service page. Where a quotation is required, the proposed fee will be confirmed before the customer commits to the purchase.

An enquiry does not start the delivery period Submitting an enquiry, sharing a preliminary link or receiving an initial response does not itself confirm an order or begin the assessment.

04 Order confirmation

Customers may purchase a service through the relevant website product page and checkout process, or through another method expressly agreed with us.

Before completing an order, customers should check:

  • The selected assessment service.
  • The number of tracks and any stated duration limits.
  • The feedback format included in the service.
  • The stated delivery estimate.
  • The total price and any applicable checkout charges.
  • The contact information supplied with the order.

An order is subject to the acceptance and payment arrangements shown during checkout and in the applicable order confirmation. We will use the details supplied to communicate about the assessment and deliver the agreed materials.

If essential information is missing or the submitted requirements materially differ from the selected service, we may contact the customer to clarify the position before proceeding.

If we are unable to supply an accepted order, we will contact the customer and arrange the appropriate refund or other remedy in accordance with the order terms and applicable law.

05 Customer materials and information

Customers are responsible for providing the music files, links and supporting information reasonably required to complete the agreed assessment.

Music files and access

Suitable audio files or accessible electronic links may be used for submission. Any specific file format or transfer arrangement will be communicated where necessary.

Customers should check that the submitted files are complete, playable and relate to the version intended for review.

Project brief

A useful brief identifies the intended direction of the music, the areas where feedback is required and any particular questions the customer would like us to consider.

Customer responsibilities

  • Provide accurate project and contact information.
  • Submit files or links that can be accessed and reviewed.
  • Identify the correct tracks and versions for assessment.
  • Explain any relevant objectives or specific questions.
  • Ensure that they have the necessary rights or permissions to share the material.
  • Respond to reasonable requests for information needed to complete the agreed work.

Customers should not submit material that they are not authorised to share. If submitted files are inaccessible, incomplete, corrupted or materially different from the agreed material, we may request replacement files or further information.

The assessment may be paused while essential replacement material or information is awaited. Any resulting effect on the delivery estimate will be communicated to the customer.

06 Assessment process

Each project is reviewed against the service purchased and the information supplied by the customer. The process is intended to keep the feedback relevant to the agreed scope rather than provide an unrelated general review.

01

Order and brief review

We check the order details, project brief and submitted material against the selected service. Essential missing information may be requested before the assessment proceeds.

02

Listening and assessment

The supplied music is reviewed with reference to the agreed areas, which may include arrangement, musical structure, sound selection, balance and production direction.

03

Preparation of feedback

Observations are organised into practical comments, explanations and recommendations appropriate to the selected service.

04

Electronic delivery

The agreed written assessment, recorded commentary or combination of deliverables is prepared and sent through the applicable electronic delivery method.

05

Included clarification

Where the purchased service includes a follow-up clarification, the customer may raise questions within the scope and period stated for that service.

07 Delivery format

Deliverables are determined by the service selected and the scope confirmed at the time of purchase. The relevant product description identifies which feedback format is included.

Written feedback

Where included, written feedback may be supplied as an electronic document or another commonly accessible format. It may contain listening observations, comments on selected musical sections, production considerations and practical recommendations.

Recorded audio feedback

Where included, recorded audio feedback provides spoken explanations of selected observations and recommendations. It is a commentary on the submitted material and is not a replacement, edited version or processed copy of the customer’s music.

Combined feedback

Some services may include both written and recorded feedback. The product description or order confirmation will identify the formats included in the purchase.

Electronic delivery

Deliverables are normally supplied remotely by email or through an agreed electronic file-sharing method. Customers should ensure that their email account can receive the relevant message and attachments or links.

If an expected delivery message cannot be found, customers should check their spam or filtered folders and contact us if the material remains unavailable.

Physical goods, printed reports and postal deliveries are not included unless expressly agreed in writing.

08 Delivery times

Each service page states its applicable estimated delivery period. The estimate for an individual order is the period displayed for the purchased service or otherwise confirmed to the customer before purchase.

Delivery estimates may differ according to the number of tracks, track duration, assessment depth and the deliverables included in the selected service.

Unless a different arrangement is expressly confirmed, the working period begins on the first working day after all of the following conditions have been met:

  • The order has been accepted and the required payment has been received.
  • The agreed music files or accessible links have been supplied.
  • The information reasonably required for the assessment has been provided.
  • Any essential questions affecting the agreed scope have been resolved.
How working days are calculated Working days mean Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays in England and Wales. The day on which the final required information is received is not counted as the first working day.

The delivery period is an estimate based on the agreed requirements and the information available when the order is accepted. Where a specific delivery commitment has been expressly agreed, that arrangement will apply.

If the customer changes the brief, adds tracks, replaces submitted material or requests work outside the purchased scope, the delivery estimate may need to be reviewed. Any revised arrangement will be discussed before additional work is undertaken.

09 Follow-up clarification

Where the selected service includes one follow-up clarification, the customer may contact us after receiving the original assessment to ask reasonable questions about the feedback and recommendations already provided.

The purpose of this clarification is to explain or expand on the original assessment. It does not automatically include:

  • A second full assessment of the same material.
  • Review of a substantially revised or newly produced version.
  • Assessment of additional tracks outside the original order.
  • A new report or additional recorded commentary beyond the purchased scope.
  • Practical editing, mixing, mastering or other production work.

Any applicable submission period and response arrangement will be stated in the relevant service description or order confirmation. If no specific period is stated, customers should contact us within 14 calendar days after delivery so that the original assessment can be referred to accurately.

This clarification arrangement does not restrict a customer’s statutory rights where a service has not been supplied in accordance with the contract.

10 Additional work and changes

The purchased service covers the assessment and deliverables identified in the relevant product description and order confirmation. Requests outside that scope are not automatically included.

Additional work may include:

  • Reviewing more tracks than the purchased service includes.
  • Assessing material that exceeds the stated duration limits.
  • Reviewing a substantially revised version after the original assessment.
  • Preparing a separate assessment for a different project objective.
  • Providing additional reports or recorded commentary not included in the order.

If a request requires additional work, we will explain the proposed scope, any additional fee and the expected timeframe before proceeding.

No optional additional work will be charged unless the customer has agreed to the relevant scope and price.

Where a customer believes an agreed deliverable is missing or does not correspond to the confirmed order, they should contact us so that the matter can be reviewed against the original requirements.

11 Service limitations

Our services are limited to reviewing supplied music and providing assessment feedback and production guidance. Unless separately agreed in writing, they do not include:

  • Recording instruments, vocals or other audio material.
  • Editing, rearranging or altering the customer’s audio files.
  • Mixing, mastering or producing a finished audio track.
  • Composing or creating new music on the customer’s behalf.
  • Submitting music to streaming platforms or arranging distribution.
  • Negotiating recording, publishing or licensing agreements.
  • Providing legal advice on copyright, ownership or music rights.
  • Guaranteeing audience response, commercial performance or artistic outcomes.

Feedback is based on the material and information made available at the time of assessment. Recommendations are intended to support the customer’s own evaluation and decision-making.

The customer remains responsible for deciding whether and how to apply the recommendations. We do not promise that following particular suggestions will produce a specific technical, creative or commercial result.

12 Delays and interruptions

We aim to deliver each service within the timeframe confirmed for the order. Circumstances may occasionally affect the original estimate.

Examples include:

  • Missing, inaccessible or unsuitable music files.
  • Incomplete project information or unresolved scope questions.
  • Customer-requested changes after the assessment has been arranged.
  • Unexpected technical problems affecting access to submitted material or delivery files.
  • Events outside our reasonable control that prevent work from progressing as planned.

If we become aware of a material delay, we will contact the customer using the details supplied with the order. Where reasonably possible, we will explain the reason for the delay and provide an updated delivery estimate.

If a delay materially affects the agreed arrangement, we will discuss the available options in accordance with the order terms and applicable law.

Nothing in this policy removes any statutory right or remedy available to the customer.

13 Completion of service

A service is ordinarily treated as delivered when the agreed assessment materials have been sent to the customer through the confirmed electronic delivery method.

Where the order includes a follow-up clarification, that arrangement remains available in accordance with the relevant service description and order confirmation. The clarification period does not mean that the original assessment remains undelivered.

Customers should review the delivered materials and contact us if an agreed item appears to be missing, a file cannot be accessed or there is a concern about whether the supplied material corresponds to the order.

We will review delivery concerns by reference to the original order, the agreed scope and the materials sent. Where a delivery issue is attributable to us, we will consider an appropriate way to resolve it.

Completion of delivery does not affect any statutory rights the customer may have in relation to the service.
